Founded in 2018, Global Alliance Solutions Foundation (GASF) is a non-profit agency working to help minority communities in metro Detroit, southeast Michigan and globally.

Dedicating its resources to improving the health and well-being of communities GASF has touched the lives of thousands of children, families, and individuals. both locally and abroad. GASF’s core purpose is to help lead the oppressed and disadvantaged communities and individuals on a path to personal success, empowerment, and self-sufficiency.

By partnering with Federal, State, and local government, US Immigration Services, area businesses, social service agencies, employment services and providing access to healthcare services, GASF helps promote community development by providing our target population the tools needed to assimilate and achieve the American Dream.

The GASF Executive Team is highly skilled with a thorough knowledge of establishing and running Social Service agencies, Behavior Health Clinics, Immigration services and Community Medical clinics for more than 50 years.

Joseph Kassab

A beacon in the community, for more than 45 years, Joseph T. Kassab has organized and founded several humanitarian agencies and non-government organizations serving tens of thousands of the less fortunate and religiously persecuted/oppressed people in their Middle East homeland countries.

Through relentless work, he helped these populations to resettle. Then provided the assistance necessary for them to become productive and legal United States citizens. Along with enjoying greater freedom they’ve also found opportunities to achieve prosperous futures for themselves and their children.

Achieving recognition for crafting well-tailored, innovative programs, Joseph’s tireless, inspired advocacy is a relentless and impactful force in the US and globally.

Joseph holds a master’s degree in medical sciences with more than 30 national publications, a diploma in Political Science and has attended, as well as presented at, many intensive trainings provided by government organizations, non-government organizations (NGOs), humanitarian organizations and other institutions including: United States Government Departments, United Nations, European Union and various other institutions and humanitarian NGOs.

Working with nonprofit organizations, Debra has created systems-based quality and compliance operations including project management, systemized client files, reporting documents, major events and grants management.

EDUCATION | VISION

Debra is a graduate of WSU holding a degree in K-8 and Special Education. She attended UCLA school of Management for a special certificate program, and is a lead instructor with Transition To Success® having presented at numerous conferences and trainings across the United States.

She is an advocate for education, particularly for young children, community involvement and community events to support needs including, culture, diversity, literacy and resource building. Debra truly believes people working together can make a difference for children, families and communities

Lima Pereira

Lima has a diverse professional background having worked in both business and nonprofit sectors. He is an experienced program administrator with responsibility for managing all aspects of programming and service delivery.

Since 2009, he has specialized in programming for grantees of the Administration for Children and Families namely Head Start, Responsible Fatherhood, and the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

As a consultant, Lima has provided training and technical assistance to help organizations achieve continuous quality improvement goals.

Muroj Muhsen

Muroj holds a master’s degree in public health and a bachelor’s degree in veterinary and surgical medicine.

As a refugee, she intimately understands the challenges faced by those new to this country, including issues like anxiety, and depression due to the difficult circumstances of resettlement. This background helps her connect with our GASF clients on a deeper level.

Her ultimate goal is to ensure our team delivers valuable support and access to resources for those we serve.

Barbara Lewis

Professional, highly analytical, organized, and versatile, Barbara Lewis offers extensive experience in data management.

Now with more than 10 years of analytical experience and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, she’s always had a knack for working with numbers, collecting data, finding trends and identifying patterns.

As the data management analyst for GASF, her main responsibility is to ensure all data collected is reported accurately.

With a master’s degree in medical sciences, a diploma in political science, and more than 30 national publications, he’s attended and presented at intensive trainings through humanitarian and many other organizations, notably the United States government, United Nations and European Union.
