The Ethnic Community Self-Help program offers services aimed at helping clients as they adjust to life in America.

The program’s specialized focus assists refugees, asylees and parolees achieve stability and maintain self-sufficiency. We work directly with individuals and families to ensure needed services are accessible and provide comprehensive support.

Human Trafficking Initiative

At GASF, we’re actively working to stop human trafficking through ongoing efforts within the community, outreach and extensive victim support.

The Human Trafficking Initiative helps victims begin healing from trauma, offering wrap-around supportive services to assist clients with rebuilding their lives. We work to increase awareness about labor and sex trafficking issues by providing workshops and presentations in metro Detroit and throughout Michigan.

Individual Development Accounts

Through the Individual Development Accounts (IDA) program, Global Alliance Solutions Foundation is able to provide an array of financial services that encompass planning, savings, training, workshops, matched savings accounts, loan  and funding opportunities. 

This program offers low-income refugees an increased understanding of America’s banking system and helps to provide access to opportunities needed to achieve financial stability.

Refugee Career Pathways

Offered since 2022, our Refugee Career Pathways (RCP) case managers work directly with individuals and families to assist with developing career plans, setting and achieving career goals. 

Program highlights include skills assessments, ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, educational opportunities, career training, goal setting, workshops, resume writing assistance, foreign degree & credential evaluation and many other career focused services.

Women’s Empowerment Initiative

Providing a safe-space for women to participate in an array of unique opportunities designed to increase self-confidence, self-worth and independence with the support of like-minded peers, our Women’s Empowerment Initiative program provides a safe-space.

Some refugees, asylees and immigrants arrive from countries where women do not enjoy the same rights and opportunities as men. The Women’s Empowerment Initiative program advocates for women while remaining respectful of individual choice.
